Meeting, The Women's College Club of the Princeton

Monday April 20, 2026
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

On April 20, 2026 The Women's College Club of the Princeton will meet 1 to 3 PM at Morven Museum Stockton Educational Center 55 Stockton St, Princeton NJ. This month Joyce Felsenfeld will give a presentation about an early 20th century artist, Amedeo Modigliani. Born in Livorno, Italy, he moved to Paris and became a painter and sculptor of the École de Paris, mainly working in France. He was flamboyant and lived an often wild, bohemian lifestyle, all while making many beautiful portraits of the many people he knew. He had an avant-garde style and his faces are unique with characteristic elongated, melancholic features and emotion. Though his life was cut short by illness, dying in poverty and obscurity, he is now celebrated as one of the 20th century's most significant artists

Free and open to the public.
