Step into a world where your eyes play tricks on your brain! At the Mercer County Library's West Windsor Branch, kids ages 6–11 will explore the science behind optical illusions through hands?on activities, surprising visuals, and creative challenges. Young scientists will discover how the brain interprets shapes, colors, and patterns—and why it sometimes gets things hilariously wrong. From shifting images to impossible objects, this program turns curiosity into "Wait... how is that even happening!" moments. For ages 6-11, youngest with a caregiver. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library. Registration is required.

Patricia Kopatchinskaja's Dies Irae, Princeton University Concerts

Part concert, part installation, this multimedia work conceived by violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja merges a fierce musical enactment of the day of judgment with a sharp critique of war and the climate crisis as drivers of our self-destruction, weaving together the compositions of Giacinto Scelsi, Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, George Crumb, Jimi Hendrix, Antonio Lotti, John Dowland, and Galina Ustvolskaya to evoke a haunting final "day of wrath." A Princeton University Concerts special event.
