Open House, The Bridge Academy

The Bridge Academy is a 501c3 not for profit specialized school for students with language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit disorder.

Open Houses are held monthly for parents and professionals who wish to obtain more information regarding The Bridge Academy for a possible placement or referral for a child. Information will be presented regarding The Bridge Academy curriculum, the admissions process, a tour of the school, as well as the opportunity to ask questions.

Homeschool: Wonders of Winter Part 2, The Watershed Institute

Date & Time: February 10, 17, 24 & March 3 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Grab your coat and boots, because your favorite homeschool teachers Miss Vicky and Miss Elizabeth are going to take you on a fantastic adventure through the season of winter! We'll hit the trail with our game cameras, look for ice palisades, learn how plants and animals survive, tap a maple tree for syrup, and discover treasures only revealed by the cold, short days of the year. 

Lessons will utilize our unique resource of the 950-acre Watershed Reserve. Classes will offer hands-on activities in a warm and personalized environment which fosters a sense of community and belonging within the group. Participants should come prepared to learn, engage, and have fun! We plan to be both indoors and outdoors (except in the worst weather) so please have students come dressed for the weather and wear waterproof footwear.

This program is intended for children ages 6 -12. We require an adult to accompany homeschool students to the Watershed Center and remain onsite during the program. Preregistration required.

Financial Empowerment Program, Princeton Public Library

This eight-session program gives an overview of financial basics including credit, debt management, investment, taxes, insurance and more and includes one-on-on coaching. This eight-session, monthly program focuses on credit mastery and debt management; homeownership and investment guidance; tax and legal planning; and insurance essentials. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, have Princeton residency and have low to moderate income. Complete this form to indicate interest.

Sessions will be: Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, and Sept. 15.

Fly Tying Class 4, The Watershed Institute

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Though it can be intimidating to tie your own flies, catching a fish on a fly that you tied yourself is exciting and very satisfying! This series of Tuesday night fly tying sessions will focus on tying variety of trout fishing flies and how to fish them. The instructors and materials are provided by the Ernest Schwiebert Chapter of Trout Unlimited. If you have your own tying tools, we encourage you to bring them. This registration is for just the first tying class- If you are looking to register for all the sessions register here.  

Some flies being covered in this session include the Gold Bead Ribbed Hare’s Ear Nymph and Pheasant Tail Nymph
