One Saturday night many years ago at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, where Finnbar's Cal Peternell was the chef, a call came in for him just as guests were arriving and orders coming in. He wouldn't have taken it - really not the time for phone calls - but it was from his kid, Hop and it was urgent: Bolognese sauce and the fate of dinner were involved. To find out what happened next, join us at Finnbar on Thursday, April 24th for a happy hour-ish of that and other stories, with recipes and delicious bites from Twelve Recipes, Cal's New York Times bestselling cookbook. Books, beer, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. $25
