8:00 PM

March 28 - April 13

Music, Book, and Lyrics by Brooke Maxwell and Jacob Richmond ?

In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life. This quirky, edgy cult musical is part comedy, part tragedy, wholly enchanting, and will make you feel great about being alive! ? ? Content Warning: Ride the Cyclone contains strong language, mature themes, and references to sex, drugs, and violence. Please note that this production will utilize theatrical fog, pyrotechnics, and strobe lighting.

Missing Dog, Very Helpful, Theatre Intime

Friday April 11, 2025
8:00 PM

Working the night shift alone, a grocery store clerk welcomes back a customer who’d forgotten to buy something on their list. But they’ve been here before — many times before. It’s the customer’s recurring dream, but it isn’t recurring quite right tonight. The key to waking up hangs on the collar of a very helpful stuffed dog, who, unfortunately, has just gone missing. Will they find him in the booby-trapped aisles, or will they get lost back there, too?

Tickets can be purchased at the Theatre Intime box office (located in Hamilton-Murray Theater on the Princeton University campus), through the Frist Box Office (in Frist Campus center or at 609-258-9200), or at tickets.princeton.edu. Cost is $12 for general admission, $10 for University staff and seniors, and $8 for students.

Macbeth in Stride, McCarter Theatre

Friday April 11, 2025
8:00 PM

What’s the story that framed you before you were even you? Macbeth in Stride, by Obie Award-winning theater artist Whitney White, employs the musical styles of rock, pop, gospel, and R&B to investigate some of the most familiar narratives of Shakespeare’s “Scottish play.” The musical preserves the madness, mystery, and macabre while infusing its own twist of irony, indulgence, and introspection, some so commonplace, we’ve forgotten to treat them as narratives at all. The show asks: What does it mean to be a woman? A Black woman? And what happens when the one thing she desires is power? At times inhabiting Lady MacB’s perspective, Woman interrogates love, ambition, and power in a high-energy and interactive concert-style performance. Joined by the Witches as singing collaborators, the work explores what it means to try to change a story whose end is already predetermined and has been lived a thousand times before. Directed by Princeton senior Layla Williams.
