Wreath Laying Event , Princeton Battlefield

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima, one of most heroic yet costly battles in the history of the U.S. Marine Corps, a delegation of Marine personnel will participate in a wreath laying at the Battlefield, honoring the memory of Capt. William Shippin, killed at the Battle of Princeton in 1777 and the first Marine to die in land combat.
