The Stories Fabrics Tell: An Illustrated History, William Trent House

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Leslie Bramlett will give the keynote talk for the Trent House's "Fabric, Stories, & Memory" project. Her free talk will be given in the William Trent House Museum Visitor Center at 2 pm. The Museum is located at 15 Market Street in Trenton, New Jersey, across from the Hughes Justice Complex. Free parking is available off William Trent Place behind the museum property.

Leslie's talk provides an illustrated historical overview of fabric as a cultural artifact, evoking both personal and collective memories. and will recount fascinating stories behind fabric designs from the past. Her talk starts off a month-long exhibition and series of programs at the Trent House, celebrating the long history in our city, state, and nation of embracing, preserving, and building on the material culture of the many groups who have enriched our country. Beginning on March 8th through the 28th, visitors can view the exhibition in the historic house of garments and other textiles from Latino, Liberian, and Ukrainian cultures as well as contemporary fabric art. Reock & Roll Revue PRESENTS JETHRO TULL'S AQUALUNG, Kelsey Theatre

The Reock & Roll Revue will return to The Kelsey Theatre for their 23rd show in 18 years with another Classic Rock Album from the greatest era of music the 1970’s. This year’s show will feature one of the most influential albums of it’s time , the 1971 classic from Jethro Tull, “AQUALUNG”. Though not a concept per se(says their writer Ian Anderson) The Revue will explore the stories behind each of the albums’ songs with their usual detail ( performance of the music and video biographies) and possibly some more. The Revue has been selling out performance after performance in their annual shows at The Kelsey.

Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and more than a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you have the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand.

Chamber Orchestra Concert, The Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey

Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey welcomes guest conductor Kenneth T. Bean for a chamber orchestra program that spotlights the rich dialogue between winds and strings — now enhanced by a live visual-art element with live painting by Kathleen Hurley Liao. The paintings will be auctioned at CPNJ’s Annual Gala after the concert (tickets to Gala are sold separately). The March 1 concert pairs Classical elegance, contemporary invention, and 20th-century vibrancy, tracing a narrative from Mozart’s poised clarity through Britten’s youthful boldness and Caroline Shaw’s inventive textures to the radiant ensemble writing of Bohuslav Martin?. During the performance, artist Kathleen Hurley Liao will create live paintings inspired by the music; those works will be offered at auction during the orchestra’s Annual Gala following the concert.

The Old City Hall Restoration Committee in Bordentown presents "From Mysticism to Espionage: The Soviet Electronic Music Revolution and the Bizarre Story of Leon Theremin" on Sunday, March 1, 4 p.m., at Old City Hall, 13 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown. The free event will be led by New Jersey-based multimedia artist Bill Nobes and examine the creator of the world's most untraditional musical instrument – one that requires no physical human contact.
