Based in the greater Philly area, Dave Orban & the Mojo Gypsies are a high-energy, sax-centric quartet that play a unique blend of up-tempo jazzy blues and old-school R&B, with just a sprinkle of New Orleans funk. Active since 1998, the Gypsies are led by founder Dave Orban, an inductee into the New Jersey Blues Hall of Fame. He has performed with or supported such national acts as James Harman, Debbie Davies, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, Lucky Peterson, Nathan James, Steve Guyger, Murali Coryell, and Selwyn Birchwood. Led by Orban on guitar and vocals, the Gypsies feature Mike Scott on tenor sax, along with Mike Cruse on bass, and Mark Shewchuk on drums, and are guaranteed to get your toes tapping!
