Stuart Country Day School

Summer at Stuart offers a variety of day programs featuring academic enrichment, arts, cultural and athletic programs as well as a play camp. Before and after Camp activities are also available. Programs are open to Stuart and non-Stuart students ranging from age 4 through high school, depending on program. Programs are coeducational with the exception of the athletics programs which are open to girls only. Academic enrichment includes courses in creative writing, algebra, SAT review, science, foreign language, and more. Camp Stuart (pre-school – Kindergarten) begins June 15 and runs through July 2. Summer at Stuart camp programs (pre-school – grade 11) begin July 15 and runs through August 28.

The language immersion summer program is designed to give children entering Grades 1 thru 6 a chance to improve or learn French. Students are grouped according to both grade level and language proficiency. Each week session has a special theme; students will acquire language skills and cultural elements through various activities in a friendly and stimulating environment. All our teachers are French native speakers. Open to all, from non-French speaking to advanced students.

June 22 - June 26: Castles of France: Students will dive into French history and culture by discovering the most famous French castles: learning about life in a castle, creating various models and acquiring the vocabulary to speak about this amazing tour of France.

June 29 - July 3: Inspired by Nature: Students will participate in arts and crafts activities inspired by Nature and focus on their creativity to create a birdhouse, papier-mâché objects, paintings on wood, mobiles, etc.

The Bridge Academy is a private, non-profit school approved by the state of New Jersey for students with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, auditory processing and ADHD. It is the only accredited Orton-Gillingham program in New Jersey. The school serves students ages 8-18 of average or higher intellectual potential and strives to empower students to bridge the gap between potential and performance. The Bridge Academy uses research-based, classroom-proven techniques taught by experienced professionals to help students thrive in school and achieve academic success. Lower School Day Camp is an all day camp for boys and girls Pre-K - 4th. We offer a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, water play and swimming, sports, and weekly field trips including two trips to the Trenton Thunder. Campers will learn the value of social skills, sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship. Day camp is available for both half and full day sessions and includes the eight weeks of June 16 through August 8. Interested parents should print one registration form from the school's website per child and submit it with payment no later than June 13, 2014. Campers should apply sunblock prior to arriving each day and wear comfortable shoes. Campers should bring a refillable water bottle each day. Full day campers need to bring a lunch every day unless otherwise instructed. Mid-morning and afternoon snacks will be provided everyday.

June 29th - July 31st (camp ends after breakfast on July 31st) Monday – Friday, 9 – 3p.m. Hun Day Camp is for children ages 5 - 13. Campers can choose from one to five weeks, full days, or half days. The time we have to play for the pure sake of having fun and making friends is so often lost in our busy lives, but Hun Camp is a place where those priorities still matter. Campers select the activities in which they participate each day. Our veteran staff consists mostly of teachers who are assisted by high school and college students. Some middle school age children attend an academic class in the morning and then join camp for lunch, swimming, and an activity with their group. The Princeton National Rowing Association, a 501(c)3 organization, operates the Finn M.W. Caspersen Rowing Center located on the shores of Mercer Lake, Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey. Arts Council of Princeton’s summer camps are held at two locations: Princeton Junior School, 90 Fackler Rd., Lawrenceville and the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon Street, Princeton. Arts and drama programs for children ages 4 – 9 and art studio programs for tweens ages 10 - 12 and teens ages 13 – 16 are offered in sculpture, painting, mixed media, digital arts, drama and more. Full and half day sessions are offered ranging in price from $210 to $360 per week. Half day art camp sessions occur in the morning (9 am – 12 pm), and there are half day drama sessions in the morning (9 am – 12 pm) and afternoon (12:30 – 3:30 pm); full day art camp sessions run 9 am – 3:30 pm, and full day drama programs run 9 am - 3:30 pm.
