The Arts Council of Princeton is a 37-year-old non-profit community arts organization whose mission is to nurture and support the visual, performing, and literary arts in the greater Princeton area.  Through its own programs and in partnership with other nonprofit organizations, artists, and arts educators, the Arts Council functions as a vital cultural center and seeks to enrich the cultural life of area residents of all ages and backgrounds.

Arts Council of Princeton’s summer camps are held at two locations: Princeton Junior School, 90 Fackler Rd., Lawrenceville and the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon Street, Princeton. Arts and drama programs for children ages 4 – 9 and art studio programs for tweens ages 10 - 12 and teens ages 13 – 16 are offered in sculpture, painting, mixed media, digital arts, drama and more. Full and half day sessions are offered ranging in price from $210 to $360 per week. Half day art camp sessions occur in the morning (9 am – 12 pm), and there are half day drama sessions in the morning (9 am – 12 pm) and afternoon (12:30 – 3:30 pm); full day art camp sessions run 9 am – 3:30 pm, and full day drama programs run 9 am - 3:30 pm. Extended care hours and limited scholarships are available.

Fill your child’s summer with laughter and fun at the Dance Connection’s Performing Arts Day Camp. This imaginative and educational program is appropriate for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Each day children take classes in dancing, singing, acting and art, and create a musical production to present to family and friends at the end of the week. Online (Zoom Classes for Kids)

Come explore the power of drawing as we present lessons that encompass a fascinating world of characters, pattern, and color. Young Rembrandts teaches drawing to elementary school age children in grades K- 6. A live instructor will guide the kids through each one-hour drawing activity. Kids can show their work, ask questions, receive feedback and the instructor will provide encouragement throughout the class. Even on a virtual remote platform, the Young Rembrandts proven method and step-by-step curriculum foster improvement of fine motor skills, handwriting readiness, and attention to detail. Supplies needed are a sharpened pencil, eraser, coloring markers or pencils and white 8 x 11" paper plus a device with internet access. Held in a password protected Zoom meeting. Instructions are provided upon registration.

The YWCA Princeton received its charter in 1922; since then, we have been bringing our mission of Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women to life. We strive to meet the changing needs of our diverse community through: an After School Program for more than 500 local children at five school sites; our English as a Second Language department, that teaches English and life skills to immigrants from various socio-economic backgrounds; The Breast Cancer Resource Center, that provides information and support services to more than 5,000 women annually; our Child Care Center at Valley Road School, that provides English-language and social skill development, specifically to low-income and Latino children. We also offer many adapted classes for those with mental and physical challenges, adult education classes, an aquatics program, arts & crafts, fitness and martial arts for women, and a dance program for children and adults.
