Independence Celebration & Fireworks, Montgomery High School. Rides, games, food vendors, non-profit tables all begin at 6 PM. Fireworks at dusk (approximately 9:15 PM). This event is once again funded by contributions from individuals, corporations, and small businesses, plus fees from our local vendors, making this a true community event. Summer Film Series, Princeton University Art Museum. West Side Story (1961) - 153 minutes, not rated, directed by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise. This year's summer series presents films inspired by the relationship between literature and art explored in the exhibition Frank Stella Unbound: Literature and Printmaking. All films begin at sundown. In the event of rain, films will be shown at 8 p.m. in 101 McCormick Hall. In this award-winning adaptation of the romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet, two teenagers from rival New York City gangs fall in love, but tensions between their respective friends build toward tragedy. Shakespeare ’70 's ‘Merry Wives of Windsor’, Kelsey Theatre, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. Shakespeare’s light-hearted comedy about societal hierarchies and the power of love to bring them down comes to the stage at Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC’s) Kelsey Theatre. In their annual tribute to The Bard, Shakespeare ’70 presents “The Merry Wives of Windsor” Fridays, June 22 and 29 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, June 23 and June 30 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, June 24 and July 1 at 2 p.m. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on June 22.
