Oct 12 – 28 - Rocky Horror, Bucks County Playhouse. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” follows innocent couple Brad and Janet as they seek shelter at a mysterious old castle on a dark and stormy night, where they encounter transvestite Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter, his “perfect” creation Rocky, and an assortment of other crazy creatures. Oct 28, 3p.m. - Westminster Community Orchestra, conducted by Ruth Ochs and Sergey Tkachenko, will present a concert titled "Halloween!" on Sunday, October 28 at 3 p.m. in the Robert L. Annis Playhouse on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets are available online at www.rider.edu/arts or by phone at 609-921-2663.The Halloween-themed program features the Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach, "Funeral March of a Marionette" by Gounod, "Mars" from Holst's The Planets, the first movement of Schubert's Symphony No. 4, "Tragic," Ravel'sPavane pour une infant défunte and the "Raiders March" from Raiders of the Lost Ark by John Williams, as well as special selections for strings. The program also showcases the talents of Westminster Conservatory's Suzuki Violin Program.

10/13 – Finding the Great Pumpkin, Princeton Shopping Center, Princeton, 3-5 p.m. - The Arts Council of Princeton and Princeton Shopping Center present Finding the Great Pumpkin: a celebration of fall. This FREE event kicks off the fall season with pumpkin-themed activities, crafts, and live music by Alex and the Kaleidoscope, an interactive music entertainment band. Attendees are invited to explore the DNA of pumpkins with the Graduate Molecular Biology Outreach Program of Princeton University. Discover what makes pumpkins orange through the blueprint of life! 10/20 - Poe Walk: Morbid Curiosities 2018 - Riverview Cemetery, 870 Centre Street, Trenton - - www.facebook.com/events/291214411694869. Stroll to the grave with a "door" featuring several references to Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven." Also look inside the historic receiving vault. 10/21 - Lawrence Hopewell Trail's Trail and Treat Ride, Village Park, Lawrence Twp, 3 - 5 p.m. - Children aged 12 and under and their families are invited to wear Halloween costumes, decorate their bikes, participate in treat bike rides and enjoy live music by the Princeton children's band, School of Rock. Other activities will include face painting, treats, and trick-or-treat goody bags. The fee for this event is $5 per child two and older. Children under two are free. Parents are encouraged to pre-register their children online by visiting the LHT's website, https://Lhtrail.org/TrailandTreat18. Onsite registration will also be possible, space permitting.
10/26 - Princeton Physics Pumpkin Toss, 3:30-5pm - The Princeton University Physics Department will host its second annual pumpkin toss 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 in the Jadwin Hall Courtyard. Teams from the department will compete against one another to hit a target with pumpkins launched off the top of the building four stories high. There will also be a children's costume contest and many fun Halloween-themed physics activities suitable for children of all ages. RSVP: www.tinyurl.com/PrincetonPumpkinToss
10/26 - Hometown Halloween Parade, 5:15pm - Palmer Square Green. Follow the parade route from Palmer Square to the Princeton YMCA, where the festivities continue with music, a bounce house, trunk or treat, food, crafts, and activities. www.artscouncilofprinceton.org.
10/27 - PQM'S Annual Halloween Kid's Club Event, Pennington Quality Market, Pennington, 10 a.m. - PQM will host its Annual Halloween Kid's Club Event. Bring the kids in costume and get their photo taken for our Costume Contest. Prizes include over $200 in gift certificates from Jazams in Princeton. They can also "trick-or-treat" throughout the store, and collect goodies along the way! Come celebrate with us and have a frightfully good time!
10/27 - Halloween Walking Tour of Lambertville, Marshall House Museum 60 Bridge St. Lambertville, NJ, 1 - 3 p.m. Enjoy a walk around Lambertville to hear stories about “haunted” spots and Halloween tales. FREE (Donations always welcome!)
10/27 - Little Boy Boo, Pinot's Palette Princeton, 2 p.m. - Little boy boo wheeling his pumpkins back home. Come and paint this adorable ghost with the family. Family Day ages 8+ and adults welcome! Click here to register.

10/31 - 11/2 - Frankenread, Princeton University - To commemorate this now internationally famous novel, Princeton is hosting a "Frankenread," a three-evening reading by 62 participants. Princeton is one of the more than 500 "Frankenreads" sites taking place on Halloween at schools, libraries and museums in over 40 countries all over the world. The roster includes an armada of readers from a wide range of interests and talents: novelists, essayists, poets, playwrights, scientists, teachers, artists, actors, students, alums and Princeton residents. The reading commences, aptly, on Halloween and continues over the next two evenings (November 1 and 2), from 6:30-10:30 at the Chancellor Green Rotunda on Princeton's campus. Refreshments will be available in the lobby, where the very first cinema adaptation of the novel, a 10-minute silent film by Thomas Edison's New Jersey-based studio, will be screening. The event is free and open to the public.
