FOPOS Spring Bird Walk with Winnie Hughes Spar

Join the Friends of Princeton Open Space (FOPOS) and expert birder Winnie Hughes Spar for a guided bird walk through the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve in Princeton, NJ. Together, we will observe Princeton's birds and learn about their fascinating habits! Space is limited to 20 participants; be sure to sign up in advance. Please note that this event is geared towards adults.

Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program. Our program is about Composting. We will talk about turning our “garbage” back into soil. Reading stories and looking at compost materials. Each child will make their own compost container to take home.

Live History Weekend at Morven

Morven Museum & Garden presents "In Time," an interactive mystery theatre experience with Live History USA. Visitors travel through the historic mansion solving a mystery with help from characters from Morven's past.

Creative Kiddos Light the Way, Grounds for Sculpture

Four glowing paper lanterns with floral designs. Photo from Spontaneous Celebrations Shine a light with recycled art! In this workshop, Kiddos will become inspired by a reading of The Patchwork Bike by Maxine Beneba Clarke and then transform recycled plastic bottles into beautiful, colorful hanging lanterns that will brighten up any room. This eco-friendly activity encourages early learners to use their imagination to transform ordinary everyday materials into extraordinary pieces of art. Each child will leave with a lantern to hang at home. All Creative Kiddos workshops are designed for kids ages 6 to 8 working alongside their adult caregivers.
