Explore the art, symbolism and joy in creating a Lemko Drop Pull Pysanka Ornament - Ukrainian decorated Easter eggs. You will be guided through all the steps of transforming a plain egg into a work of art. Adult and/or teen students will learn the age old Ukrainian method of writing Pysanky. We will apply a series of melted beeswax and dyes to create traditional and individually creative patterns. When complete, the wax is melted off, revealing the vivid colors. This pysanka, or Ukrainian egg can then be hung as an ornament. Basia will supply all needed materials and supplies to create 1 Pysanka Egg. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.

Join us as we celebrate the hatching of our chicks! We’ll begin our party by meeting some adorable, fuzzy chicks and singing a special birthday chorus. Afterward, explore stations - such as engineering and crafts - to learn more about our chicks. At the end, everyone will receive a sweet treat to take home. All ages welcome, youngest with a caregiver. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library. Registration is required.
