Open House, The Bridge Academy

The Bridge Academy is a 501c3 not for profit specialized school for students with language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit disorder.

Open Houses are held monthly for parents and professionals who wish to obtain more information regarding The Bridge Academy for a possible placement or referral for a child. Information will be presented regarding The Bridge Academy curriculum, the admissions process, a tour of the school, as well as the opportunity to ask questions.

Wherever the Olive Grows - Rocche Costamagna Wine Dinner @Mediterra

Rocche Costamagna is located within the town of La Morra and is run by Alessandro Locatelli. Alessandro is a direct descendant of the winery’s founder, Francesco Costamagna, who started the winery in the early 1800’s. This modest estate is one of the oldest continuously family run Barolo producers making some great wines. Alessandro will join us for this wine-paired dinner and guide us through his portfolio and share some backstories of this small but mighty estate.

Sons of Erin: The Irish in the American Civil War, Hamilton Public Library

The American Civil War is often called Ireland's forgotten conflict. During the war about 150,000 Irish men fought for the Union, with another 20,000 joining the Confederacy. Although exact death figures are unknown, thousands of Irish soldiers likely died. Despite their significant involvement, their experiences remain largely overlooked. Register.
