Pathways to Preparedness, Lawrence Branch Library

Seniors and people with disabilities are warmly welcomed to a free, in?person 90?minute emergency preparedness training at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System on Friday, February 20 at 2:00 pm. The training is provided by the Progressive Center for Independent Living, supported by a grant through the NJ Department of Human Services. Trainers Gerald "Jerry" Carbone, Renee Pfaff, and Bill Donohue will guide participants in building a personalized "Go Kit," creating communication and evacuation plans, identifying community resources, and increasing confidence in navigating unexpected situations. Jazz without Borders, MCCC James Kearney Campus

Free Pickleball Workshop, The Community Well

We'll cover the basics like rules, scoring, court layout, and simple techniques for serving, returning, and rallying. You'll get plenty of chances to practice through easy drills and light game play, all in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Oh Freedom! Black History Month Celebration

Oh Freedom! was created by New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites to introduce visitors to the Black soldiers of the American Revolution. These soldiers played important roles on both sides of the Revolution. Their goal is to share this information with everyone. East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, CURE Arena

The Indoor Auto Racing Championship Fueled by VP Racing Fuels brings together the greatest racers in the region to compete in auto racing events indoors. Events take place from December through February in arenas along the East Coast. Whereas most races take place on specific race tracks, the Indoor Auto Racing Championship events take place on the cement floor of the arena. Combining all of the exciting short track racing action – fierce competitors, high speeds, passing, bumps, crashes and flips – intensifies them and puts them in easy view of spectators, with the amenities of modern sports, concert, and event facilities.
