Hispanic Heritage Month launches Sept. 15, and we’re hosting a number of events in recognition. The highlight will be the 10th annual Festival Cultural Latino, on Hinds Plaza and Palmer Square Sept. 28. The exhibition “Art Across Boundaries: Latin American Women Artists in Resistance” comes to the Reading Room Sept. 15. In partnership with People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos the eight-week discussion series “Celebrate Hispanic Heritage/Celebre la Herencia Hispana” meets for the first time on Sept. 25. Both the exhibition and the series continue through November. Don’t miss the special conclusion of “Dancing Under the Stars,” which features dances and music from Latin America in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month.
