Herbal Allergy Relief Explore herbs & holistic techniques that address the root cause of allergies and help manage symptoms when they arise. You’ll leave class with an herbal tea blend, snack recipes, and lifestyle tips. Admission to GFS is included, so feel free to enjoy the grounds! Note: this class covers allergic rhinitis, not food intolerances or food allergies. Instructor: Amanda Crooke is the herbalist and owner of Locust Light Farm in NJ. She’s worked with herbs as a farmer, a medicine-maker, herbalist, and magic-maker for 8-years. Amanda is the “Herbal Pharmacy” teacher at David Winston’s Herbalist Training Program and has a private clinical practice.

Each page of this surprising, interactive book asks the reader to push the button, shake it up, tilt the book, and –who knows what will happen next! Then, create flyable kites while exploring shapes, patterns and color mixing using tissue paper and more. All Tots For Sculpture workshops are designed for kids ages 3 to 5 working alongside their adult caregivers.

Shad Fest 2026

In 1981, what began as a showcase for the local art scene, has evolved into a nationally recognized, award-winning event. Enjoy two-days, filled with hand-crafted art, jewelry, home goods, a variety of delectable food, music, and fun for the whole family! What is Shad? Each spring the Delaware River in Lambertville, NJ is home to returning Shad making their way back from the Atlantic Ocean to spawn before returning to the ocean. Local residents can be found fishing for Shad on Lewis Island, the only Shad fishery left on the Delaware River. Winner of “Best Event” by the Bucks County Herald, ShadFest™ 2026 marks 43 years of festivals.

2026 Volunteer Open House, Tabby's Place: A Cat Sanctuary

All are welcome to come visit our sanctuary in Ringoes, NJ to learn more about the continuing mission of Tabby’s Place. Our dedicated volunteer team will tell you all about the work they do to care for our cats and how you can get involved, too. Follow the trail of paw prints through the building to see our cat suites, solariums, and other spaces. Our tour guides will introduce you to some of our feline residents and tell you more about each of the cats we get to call ours. Refreshments will also be available (for humans and cats).

Spring Winery Weekend Music Series @Terhune's

Join family and friends for our winery weekend music series this Spring. It is the perfect way to relax, connect, and toast the new season. Enjoy a glass of one of our award-winning wines, sit back, and listen to live music from local artists each week. Styles range from Jazz and Blues to Folk and Rock. The music is from 1 pm-4 pm. Light fare is available.

Bring the entire family to enjoy fresh air on the farm, stop in the farm store for fresh produce, baked goods, and local gourmet items, and stroll on the farm. Barn Door Cafe is open on weekends for lunch fare, homemade treats, and ice cream. Winery hours 12 pm-5 pm. No outside food or pets, please. America Laments Her Loss: George Washington Memorial Needlework

America’s first national tragedy, the death of George Washington, was memorialized in many decorative arts. Among these were the samplers and other needleworks made primarily by young girls as part of their educational process. Dan Scheid, a prominent local needlework collector, will show numerous examples of these works from the early through mid-19th century that honor our first president and reflect the nation’s sense of loss. $10 per person, includes museum admission.

History/Nature Hike at Institute Woods, Historical Society of Princeton

Princeton Battlefield parking lot, 500 Mercer Street, Princeton

Join us on a hike through the treasured Institute Woods to explore bits of history, as well as the sites and sounds that form this unique and serene setting. Hear stories about the Woods’ origin and the ways IAS mathematicians, physicists, and other members have engaged with it. Stops along the way will highlight the history of early Stony Brook, the Battle of Princeton, the Old Trolley trail, the establishment of the Institute for Advanced Study, and Founders Rock. We will make a special stop at the infamous Swinging Bridge, then hike over to the observation decks at the adjacent Rogers Wildlife Refuge. Along the way, there will be moments to observe, engage, and identify the different varieties of birds, plants, trees, and everything in between!
