Winery Weekend Music Series @Terhune's

Book Talk: We've Been Here Before: How Rebellion and Activism Have Always Sustained America

The Trent House Association presents a talk by Angela Dodson, co-author of We've Been Here Before: How Rebellion and Activism Have Always Sustained America, forthcoming in June 2026, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2 pm via Zoom at https://tinyurl.com/DodsonTalk. We've Been Here Before: How Rebellion and Activism Have Always Sustained America draws together the stories of these moments as a powerful reminder that America has always been both challenged and reinvigorated by resistance and activism. The book's authors give profiles of those who led those movements, paying particular attention to the contributions of women and people of color, and reminding us that the efforts of individuals can propel change.

Opening Reception: Winter Exhibit, "Labors of Love," at Stuart Country Day School

The upcoming winter gallery exhibition, "Labors of Love," features a diverse group of celebrated local artists, including Nancy Pirone Tamasi, Dr. Ronah Harris, April Zay, Piroska Toth, and Libby Ramage. Representing a broad spectrum of disciplines—from traditional ceramics and textiles to innovative fiber art and painting—the artists continue to push the boundaries of their chosen mediums. The public is invited to view "Labors of Love" on display in Stuart's Considine Gallery from January 24, 2026, through March 3, 2026. An opening reception will be held on January 24, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. The gallery is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, when school is in session. DarkSky Star Party @The Watershed

Forget the Hollywood meet-and-greet: meet the stars at The Watershed Reserve at our fabulous Star Party! Learn about light pollution and enjoy stargazing in one of NJ's 'darker' areas. Educators will provide a tour of the night sky while you soak in the special beauty of the Reserve at night. Participants will have the opportunity to try telescopes and apps that can enhance your experience. No experience required, just a warm coat and your sense of wonder.

This program is presented in collaboration with DarkSky Hopewell, a local organization working to reduce light pollution. Adults and Families with children welcome. Pre-registration is required. In case of poor viewing weather, registrants will be contacted and a rain date may be offered.
