Gather for some lively conversation and creative fun! We're coming together to honor history, crafting no-sew quilt squares just like the women of the past did, while working on a special project to represent New Jersey and Princeton in the Williamsburg Great American Birthday quilt. Your stories and creativity are the only stitching required! The 12"x12" fabric square background will be supplied. Various fat-quarters of fabric and small felt pieces will be available to create your contribution to the Great American Birthday quilt. Fabric glue will also be available.

Garden State Watercolor Society (GSWS) will honor artist Bob Sakson in a special showing of his art at D&R Greenway Land Trust, from January 5 to February 4, 2026. Bob Sakson (1938-2020) was a celebrated New Jersey watercolor artist and teacher, an Emeritus Member of GSWS, and a prestigious Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society.
Known for en plein air realism, Bob spent his life capturing the beauty of New Jersey in scenic landscapes or historical sites. This exhibition continues to showcase his paintings of familiar and timeless scenes: Allentown and historic Walnford (Monmouth County Park), Cassville, Colliers Mill, Lambertville, Mount Airy, Stockton, Titusville, Washington Crossing, several South Jersey shore scenes, as well as Churchtown, Pennsylvania. A reception is scheduled for Sunday, January 11, from 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
D&R Greenway Land Trust is located at One Preservation Place, Princeton, New Jersey. The public is encouraged to visit the art galleries on weekdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Entrance is free. Closed holidays and weekends. Visit www.drgeenway.org or call ahead to 609-924-4646.
