It's been 25 years since we first met Lorelai and Rory Gilmore—and we're celebrating Stars Hollow-style! Join us for a fun afternoon as we mark the anniversary of the airing of the first episode of "Gilmore Girls." We'll kick things off with a screening of the pilot episode, complete with iconic snacks inspired by the show—Red Vines, donuts, coffee (of course!), potato chips and popcorn. Afterward, test your Gilmore knowledge in a fun trivia contest with prizes for the top fans. Plus, create a themed take-home craft to commemorate the occasion. Whether you're a longtime fan or just discovering the charm of Stars Hollow and all of its residents, this event is for you. Bring a friend, wear your favorite flannel, and prepare to talk fast! The first offering of the 2025-26 season of Dorothea's House programs will feature Rome native Andrea Marini, who dances with the American Repertory Ballet Company. Marini will give an overview of how dance has accompanied human beings—even before the emergence of language. In Italy, traditional folk dances still reflect the fusion between ancient Italic cultures and the influences of the various populations they came into contact with over time. He will explore some of the most iconic Italian folk dances—from the Tarantella to the Furlana—leading up to the refined art of ballet and the prestigious Italian opera and symphonic foundations. The event is free.
Dorothea's House is located at 120 John Street in Princeton. Participants are encouraged to bring refreshments to share at a post-program reception. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. dorotheashouse.org
