Cartoonist Tom Toro: A Princeton Public Library Book Brunch Event

The author presents and discusses his collection, "And to Think We Started as a Book Club..." Doors open at 10:45 a.m. for coffee & pastries. The conversation begins at 11 a.m. Book signing to follow.

Tom Toro is a cartoonist and award-winning children's book author & illustrator whose work has been a popular feature of the New Yorker for over a decade. His drawings also have appeared in the New York Times, Playboy, the Paris Review, and many other publications. He is the creator of the comic strip Home Free with Andrews McMeel.

Holiday Celebration, Terhune's

Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune's

Spend November weekends at Terhune Orchards Vineyard & Winery, Saturdays and Sundays from 12–5 p.m. Enjoy award-winning Terhune wines by the glass or in a tasting flight, paired with light fare and café favorites. Starting November 21st, we’ll have the fire pits out and hot mulled wine available. Kids can join the fun too with s’mores and hot cocoa kits. From 1–4 p.m., relax to live music by local artists, with styles ranging from jazz and blues to folk and rock. A perfect way to savor autumn afternoons.

The Nutcracker, American Repertory Ballet @Two River Theater

A tradition for sixty years, American Repertory Ballet’s THE NUTCRACKER is one of the longest continuously running productions in the nation and a perfect holiday treat for all ages! With thrilling choreography set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, ARB’s professional company will be joined by students from Princeton Ballet School to tell the story of Clara, a young girl who receives a magical Christmas gift and embarks on an enchanted journey. The Nutcracker holds a special place in the hearts of both new and longtime patrons, becoming synonymous with the holiday season.

Performances will take place from Friday, November 28 through Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Princeton, Red Bank, and New Brunswick.

General George Washington Presents “The Dark Days of the American Revolution”

As the days keep getting darker in early December, it is a perfect time to hear “General Washington” talking about the Dark Days of the American Revolution. Join us as we kick off the semiquincentennial at Summerseat House, General Washington's Headquarters, on December 7th at 2:00 p.m. Sam Davis, portraying Washington, will bring that time in history to life, sharing details of the daring Battles of New York, Trenton (first and second), and Princeton. Summerseat House, located at 130 Legion Avenue in Morrisville, PA, is most famous as the Headquarters of General George Washington from December 8th to 14th, 1776. The well-known directive, "That all the boats and watercraft should be secured or destroyed," was issued by Washington while he was staying at Summerseat. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Festival of Trees Winter Soirée

This year’s winter fête moves from the garden to inside the historic mansion. Winter Soirée attendees are invited to enjoy enchanting live music, a lavish array of culinary delights, and inspiring holiday displays, with proceeds benefitting special exhibitions, events, educational programming and the historic preservation of this beloved estate.
