HITOPS Support Groups Begin September 8
We’re excited to begin another year of providing the support, safe space, resources, and community that queer and trans youth need on their journeys forward. All groups are hybrid - held in person and via zoom.
Banner is for middle school aged youth (ages 11-14) who want to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community, meeting Mondays from 5-6 PM.
TConnect is for transgender & nonbinary high school aged youth (14-18) with a focus on discussions about gender, meeting Tuesdays from 5-6 PM.
First & Third is for LGBTQ+ high school aged youth (14-18) to talk about sexuality, love, and relationships, meeting Wednesdays from 5-6 PM.

Terhune Orchards Fall Art Show: September 6 - December 7, 2025
Join us for a beloved seasonal tradition! The Annual Fall Art Show at Terhune Orchards celebrates the farm’s 50th anniversary with a special themed exhibit: “50 Years of Terhune Orchards.” Held in Terhune’s historic 250-year-old barn, the show features original works by local artists inspired by the farm's rich history and natural beauty. On display from September 6 through December 7, this show includes a variety of visual art mediums. Don’t miss the Meet the Artists Open House on Sunday, September 7 at 1 PM. Voices Chorale is Auditioning! Calling all singers! Voices Chorale NJ is welcoming new members! Auditions are brief, stress-free, and open to all voice parts. They are available by appointment on September 15, 22, and 29, before our Monday evening rehearsals. We rehearse on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Music Together, 225 Pennington-Hopewell Road in Hopewell. This December, we'll celebrate the season with a holiday concert at Trinity Church in Princeton on Saturday, December 13 at 4 pm, featuring "A Garland for Christmas" by John Whittaker along with both beloved and new carols. Princeton Launches Adopt a Drain Program!
This week we launched the Adopt a Drain Program! Help protect Princeton from flooding and keep our waterways clean—adopt a storm drain in your neighborhood! By committing just a few minutes every couple of weeks, especially before and after storms, you can make a big impact. Volunteers receive free cleanup supplies and become part of a growing local effort to care for our environment. Community Watershed Advocate Program 101 October 1 - November 12. Self-paced course mostly online with live sessions on October 1 and November 12 at The Watershed Institute. Cost: Free. Suggested Donation of $10. Registration Deadline: October 1, 2025. The Community Watershed Advocate Program gives community members the information and training they need to be effective advocates for water-related environmental issues in their communities. *This class is designed for individuals 16 or older. There are no diploma or experience requirements for the 101. We do not recommend younger students as the material requires a certain level of reading comprehension, writing, time management in a self-paced/online environment and critical thinking skills. Princeton Public Library Seeks Submissions for 2026 Princeton Environmental Film Festival
Submissions are being accepted through Jan. 15 for the 2026 Princeton Environmental Film Festival, a signature Princeton Public Library event featuring films and filmmaker presentations which explore sustainability and environmental issues. The festival will be March 27-April 3, and films will be screened in person and also available to stream online. An entry form, and additional information about the festival, is available at princetonlibrary.org/peff. There is no fee to submit a film for consideration.

Applications for Young Audience's Arts Lab are now being accepted on a rolling basis through Dec. 11. Any New Jersey private or public PreK-12 school can apply to receive free arts programming in their schools. A Young Audiences Arts Lab grant can be used to schedule any of YA's teaching artist-led programs. Opportunities include assemblies, workshops, residencies, professional learning, and community evening events. For more information and to apply, visit yanjep.org/arts-lab/.

The Princeton University Farmers’ Market will return for eight weeks to the Firestone Library/Chapel Plaza on Wednesdays from September 3 to October 29, open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Members of the University and local communities will have an opportunity to purchase fresh locally grown produce and other goods from area farmers and businesses that use sustainable practices. 9/13 - Walking Tour of Historic Flemington, Hunterdon County Historical Society, 10am. Discover the fascinating story of historic downtown Flemington with HCHS's Board President Janice Armstron. Hear about the buildings, the people who built them, and how the downtown has changed and adapted after more than 300 years of settlement. Armstrong is a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County and a lover of local history, who has led a variety of Flemington tours over the years. 9/14 - Sunday Stewardship, The Watershed Institute, 9-11am. Sunday Stewardship is a monthly volunteer event where community members work alongside our Stewardship Team to restore native plant communities, create healthy ecosystems, and ensure clean water for all. Tasks may include: • Removing invasive plants • Maintaining deer protection • Planting native species. Anyone can volunteer. We encourage families to work together. Ages 15-16 must be able to work independently with adult supervision. Ages 12-14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The West Windsor Community Farmers Market is collaborating with the Princeton Garden Theatre to show the movie Food and Country. In the film trailblazing food writer Ruth Reichl examines the precarious state of America's food system. Reaching across political and social divides, she meets with small farmers, ranchers, and chefs risking it all to survive. Enjoy some artisanal cheese from Cherry Grove Farm while watching the movie. Join YWCA Princeton's Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) on Sunday, September 21 at 10:00 AM at Princeton University's Weaver Track and Field Stadium (45 Ivy Ln, Princeton, NJ) for their 4th Annual Warrior Walk, honoring breast cancer survivors and thrivers.
