Are you in a food rut and need inspiration in the kitchen? Consistently eating the same foods can become boring and can lead to unhealthy habits. HiTOPS TransparentHood Support Group Meetings - Mondays Virtually 6:30pm - 7:30pm - A weekly support group for parents and family members of trans, nonbinary, and gender questioning youth. We invite you to share your story, hear from others, and gain support for you and your child's journey in the comfort of a judgment-free space. Princeton Flu Vaccine Clinics
In partnership with Wegmans Pharmacy and Princeton Senior Resource Center, Princeton Health Department is hosting community flu vaccine clinics from September through December. These clinics are for ages 3 years old and older. If you have insurance, you must bring all of your prescription and health insurance cards/information (including Medicare Part B information). Singers Wanted - Sharim V'Sharot Choir Holding Auditions - Sharim V'Sharot - an independent, auditioned choir based in Mercer County, NJ, singing a broad repertoire of Jewish music in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, English, French and Italian - is always looking for singers to complement our signature sound and be a part of Central New Jersey's Select Jewish Choir! Literacy New Jersey Mercer Programs Tutor Training Workshop - Give the gift of literacy! Join us as a volunteer tutor and help adults improve their English literacy skills. Work one-to-one or in small groups to teach adults who are learning to speak, read, and write English. Our Tutor Training Workshop will take place online on Zoom, Wednesdays Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27 & Oct. 4 & 11, from 6:00-8:00pm. Participants are expected to attend all training sessions and complete some independent online assignments. Previous teaching experience not necessary. Our training will provide you with all the essential skills and support to become an effective tutor. Mercer County AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program Seeking Volunteers
Mercer Tax-Aide volunteers prepare tax returns in Princeton, West Windsor, Hopewell Township, Pennington, Lawrence, Hamilton, Robbinsville, as well as in Plainsboro. New volunteers attend training classes in November, December and January. IRS certification is part of the training program. Tax preparation begins in February. All levels and types of experience are welcome. AARP membership is not required. New volunteers will work with a small group of well-trained veteran volunteers. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers prepare millions of tax returns across the country each year. Taxpayers of any age can take advantage this free service.

9/9 – 12th Annual Sourland Spectacular, 7am., The Sourland Conservancy (sourland.org/) hope you will join this year—cycling through the gorgeous forest and farmland of the historic Sourlands, for a challenging yet rewarding ride. Proceeds from the event will help support their tremendous forest restoration effort, now underway. Riders may begin when they would like between 7:00–10:00am in order to complete their route in time for lunch. Pre-event coffee and breakfast will be followed by lunches served from 11:00 until 2:00. 9/9 – Annual Insect Festival, 11 – 2pm., Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County will sponsor the 2023 “Bugs Rule!” Insect Festival on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Mercer Educational Gardens, 431A Federal City Road, Hopewell Township. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free and on-site parking is available. 9/9 – “Make Me Famous” Film Screening, 5pm., Acme Screening Room - Join the Acme Screening Room Sat September 9 at 5pm for the film “Make Me Famous” including a post screening Q&A with filmmaker Brian Vincent, producer Heather Spore and cinematographer John Sawyer. Make Me Famous is a madcap romp through the 1980's NYC art scene amid the colorful career of painter, Edward Brezinski, hell-bent on making it. 9/13 - Foraging Forest Tour & Talk, Hopewell Public Library/Sourland Conservancy, 1:15-3:30pm. The Hopewell Public Library is happy to collaborate with the Sourland Conservancy to host a tour of the Foraging Forest! It will be conducted by their Stewardship Coordinator, Eric Williams, and their volunteer manager Sari Pehnke. The tour will begin with a general orientation meeting at the gazebo first, then a guided walk over to the garden. The tour will include descriptions of the plants in the area, history of the plants, and why they planted them. 9/16 – 6ht Annual Delaware River Cleanup, 8:30-11:30am., Delaware River Greenway Partnership (DRGP) has joined forces with NJ Clean Communities programs in Hunterdon and Mercer County and the NJ Park Service to help tackle the litter along the shore of our Wild and Scenic Delaware River. This year's cleanup includes eighteen areas along the river ranging from Holland Township in Hunterdon County all the way to Duck Island at the Abbott Marshlands in Hamilton! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: bit.ly/3qIB9qW Children are welcome and encouraged to help! Registered volunteers should bring insect repellent and water. Comfortable clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Participants will be provided with trash bags and gloves. 

9/16 - Zuzu Gallery's Fall Opening Reception, 4- 6pm. The exhibition will showcase the landscape paintings of its owner Susan Rizzo, metal paintings by Amy Louise Lee, and the 3D works by Janet Simmons and Patricia Kim. Program highlights include Councilwoman Michelle Pirone Lambros and Mayor Mark Freda, who will reflect on the journey and progress we've made as one Princeton, and Senator Andrew Zwicker, who will give remarks on the benefits of consolidation and the important example Princeton set for the rest of the state. 9/30 – LHT Full Moon Bike Ride, 7-10pm., Bike in the moonlight on a six-mile loop in Mercer Meadows Park. (Ride it as many times as you like in two hours!) Decorate your bike, dance to the music of a techno DJ, and enjoy fanciful lighting, glow-in-the-dark features and live music along the route. Make s'mores around the campfire once you're done. For riders ages 12 and up, and children must be accompanied by adults. Helmets are required for riders under 18 but are highly encouraged for all. Bike lights (front and rear) are strongly suggested. The trail surface is pavement and compact stone, and the course is moderate. Registration and sign-in begins at 7 p.m. Use the entrance to Mercer Meadows Park on Federal City Road, between Blackwell Road and Old Mill Road. 2023 Full Moon Bike Ride t-shirts are only sold with pre-registration.
