CONGRATULATIONS
Noreen Lois Duncan was one of seven Distinguished Professors at MCCC to receive an award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development. The presentation was made at the University of Texas. We are so proud and congratulate Noreen and her colleagues. Lisa Tomlin-Houston, daughter of Joan Tomlin, was recently named Director of Career Services at Baldwin-Wallace College, Ohio. She previously worked at the Univ. of Pa. and at Carnegie Mellon Univ. in Career & Student Services. Lisa and her husband, Tony have conducted several workshops at CJNBW Ed Fairs, and we do wish them both much luck at their new location. Nichole Anderson was invited to the White House to meet with the President. More details will follow in the next newsletter. GOOD LUCK Malene Duncan, daughter of Hibbert and Noreen Duncan, spent 9 weeks in American Samoa and worked in the Public Defender's office. No doubt, this was a very rewarding and exciting time for Malene. She is back in the U.S. and returning to Law School in Pa. We are glad she had a safe journey and wish her a successful semester. |
| BEST WISHES
& CONTINUED Good Health TO: Arlene
Banks, Louise Smith, Ruth Timins daughter, Nicole and; the mothers of Marcia
Duhart, Lorna Jones, Louise Smith, and Shirley Vassall's
mother-in-law.
GET WELL: Louise Smith is doing quite well and feeling better and stronger each day. We do wish her continued good health. It is our intention to remember all who are ill, lost a loved one or congratulate members and their families when achievements are made. However, you must let Joyce Abbott (448-4511) know so mention can be made in the Newsletter. |
| Winter Energy Saver - Rather than use the dryer to dry
clothes in the winter months, hang them in the basement to both humidify your
house and save on utility bills.
Washer Advice - Button all buttons on clothing and turn inside out before putting into the washer. Fewer buttons will fall off and garments will fade less if turned inside out. |
