Steering Committee Corner

This Committee is made up of the officers of the Network.  We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Twin Rivers Library, 276 Abbington Dr., E. Windsor, NJ.,  (609-443-1880).  Any member can attend these meetings, if so desired.

The Steering  Committee met on Tues., April 2 at the Twin Rivers Library.  In attendance, Ruth, Shirley, Noreen, Linda and Joyce.

The main discussion centered around our upcoming celebration on April 21 at "Fifth Ave. Bistro"  in Hightstown, where we will be honoring Albert and Brenda Werner.  We look forward to a wonderful program and day and hope all our members and friends will turn out.  Responses have already started coming in.  If you need additional fliers, please contact Joyce Abbott.

We also discussed how new/prospective members should be greeted or contacted.  The Membership Committee, (Linda, Marcia and Joyce) will talk about this and come up with ideas and bring to the meeting.

There was some discussion about awarding one scholarship to a high school student  in addition to the two scholarships we plan to award to two females returning to school.  This will be on the agenda  for 4/9.

Noreen reported that contact has been made with several colleges regarding our scholarships for women.

THANK YOU

The Steering Committee would like to thank all members who donated funds (to honor and remember Gloria Daniels) which will be sent to UNCF and the American Cancer Society.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
