Spring Mini Camp @The Watershed - Bring your campers for a mini-camp experience complete with a day of hiking, exploring, playing, and enjoying nature's winter secrets. Register for the K-2nd grade group or the 3rd-6th grade group. Campers should be prepared for a busy day of being outdoors and lots of walking, no matter the weather. We recommend packing waterproof shoes, warm layers, lunch and snacks, a large water bottle, and a comfortable backpack. Financial Literacy Programs for Teens at PPL - Teens are invited to learn the basics of banking at the Teen Financial Literacy Program taking place at the library next month. The programs will be presented according to age group and feature two sessions each held in the Teen Center on the third floor of the library.
The sessions will be presented by local professionals and will cover the importance of savings accounts, credit and more.
Sessions for 13-14-year-olds will be held Wednesdays, March 9 and 23, from 5-6 p.m. Sessions for 15-to-18-year-olds will be on Monday, March 14 and Wednesday, March 30, from 5-6 p.m. Registration through the events is required - princetonlibrary.libnet.info/event/6218759

Mercer County Bike Drive April 9 (Rain Date April 16)
Do you have a bike that you no longer use? Maybe you have one that your child has outgrown? Mercer County and the Park Commission are hosting a Bike Drive at several locations throughout the county. We will take your old bikes – no matter the condition – and give them to the Trenton Bike Exchange, a volunteer organization that collects, repairs, and sells used bikes at a very low price. The Motor Vehicle Commission will be hosting three events in Princeton to provide services to residents including drivers license renewal, non-driver identification cards, REAL IDs, and license plate services. From crafters to food purveyors, Mercer County is seeking vendors for the 10th annual Cultural Festival & Food Truck Rally, slated for Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds. The annual festival showcases the region’s cultural diversity through the arts and crafts, dance demonstrations, music and cuisine. The festival organizers are seeking traditional artists and craft and food vendors to contribute to the wide variety of ethnicities and cultures that make up Mercer County. FREE AARP TAX ASSISTANCE FOR SENIORS
Fridays through April 15
AARP sponsors free tax assistance for low and moderate-income people through the AARP Tax-Aide program. AARP volunteers who are certified by the IRS will be available to prepare and electronically file individual Federal and New Jersey State returns. These volunteer preparers are particularly familiar with tax regulations and rebate programs that affect seniors.
This tax year, AARP volunteers will prepare tax returns using the IRS and AARP requirements for same-day drop-off service. Using this service, you will be able to drop off your tax documents during your initial appointment and pick them up along with a copy of your prepared tax return later that same day. The drop-off location is PSRC’s Suzanne Patterson Building at 45 Stockton Street in Princeton.
A pre-appointment packet containing information on the same-day drop-off service and tax forms that you need to fill out before your scheduled appointment can be picked-up in advance or can be downloaded at www.bitly.com/AARPTaxForms

3/3 - Author: Ben Okri in Conversation with Chika Okeke-Agulu - A Library and Labyrinth Livestream, 7pm., The celebrated Nigerian author discusses his newly released fable "Every Leaf a Hallelujah" and the reprint of his classic novel "Astonishing the Gods" with Princeton University's Chika Okeke-Agulu. One of Nigeria’s most celebrated authors, Ben Okri is the author of many post-colonial novels, poetry, short story collections and essays. With his new eco-fable, "Every Leaf a Hallelujah," and a revised edition of his 1995 novel, "Astonishing the Gods," his voice is as vital and resonant as ever. 3/5 – Free Rabies Clinic, 10-12pm., Princeton Animal Control and the Princeton Health Department are hosting a Spring Rabies Clinic for cats and dogs on at the Princeton Fire Department, located at 363 Witherspoon Street. This clinic is free for residents of New Jersey. All pets must be at least 3 months old. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and all cats must be in a carrier. 3/5 - Book Signing: A Farmer’s Life by Gary Mount – Terhune Orchards, 1pm., Gary Mount, owner of Terhune Orchards, has published a collection of his stories about the farm. He and Pam purchased Terhune Orchards in 1975, this is a collection of articles that Gary wrote about the process of making Terhune Orchards the farm and successful business it is today, their experiences developing new crops, techniques and endeavors. 3/13 – Exhibit Opening @Morven - Ma Bell: The Mother of Invention in New Jersey, 10am., Morven Museum & Garden is proud to partner with the AT&T Archives and History Center to explore the ways in which NJ-born creations came to be the building blocks of today’s technology. Life is filled with exciting learning opportunities, and what better time to explore them than while you are young? 3/18 - “Rigoletto”, Boheme Opera NJ, 8pm., Patriots Theatre at the War Memorial. The premiere show of Boheme’s 33rd-season, “Rigoletto” will fill the stage with memorable characters driven by passion, fear and the all-too-familiar lusts for personal power and pleasure at the expense of others. Bringing them to life will be an all-star cast of established and rising young stars, supported by the Boheme Opera NJ Orchestra and Men’s Chorus, conducted and directed by Boheme Opera Artistic Director Joseph Pucciatti. “Rigoletto” will be performed in Italian with English supertitles, preceded by pre-curtain talks in the theater one hour before start of performances, presented by Boheme Board President Jerrold Kalstein.
