The Akropolis Reed Quintet will present a concert at The Pennington School on Friday, Oct. 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Stainton Hall Lecture Center. The evening's repertoire comprises works by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Stacy Garrop, Jeff Scott, and George Gershwin. The Pennington music program's 2019–20 Musicians-in-Residence, the Quintet is composed of Kari Landry, clarinet; Andrew Koeppe, bass clarinet; Ryan Reynolds, bassoon; Matt Landry, saxophone; and Tim Gocklin, oboe. This event is free and open to the public, and the venue is wheelchair-accessible.

Star Observation Session, New Jersey State Museum’s Planetarium

Visit the Planetarium Friday evening for a special nighttime star talk in the Planetarium, then hop in your car and follow us a short drive to the Washington Crossing Park Simpson Observatory (weather permitting). The Amateur Astronomy Association of Princeton will be on hand with telescopes to observe the night sky and help visitors with their use. If viewing conditions are poor, immediately following the sky talk guests will see a free Planetarium show. Recommended for ages 7+.
