Hearing Loop Demonstration for the Hearing Impaired, Princeton Public Library

A hearing loop assistive hearing system that enhances sound for those with telecoil-enabled hearing aids has been installed at Princeton Public Library. The loops are available in the Community Room, Newsroom, second-floor Conference Room and Technology Center. There are also portable loops to assist at the Lending Desk and telecoil (t-coil) listeners for those without hearing aids.

The “hearing loop” system, installed by Hopewell, New Jersey-based Audio Directions, is always available and requires no advance reservations or requests for loaner equipment. A demonstration of the technology will take place at the library on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. in the Newsroom on the second floor. Mercer County First-Time Homebuyer Program Workshop

Owning a home is a big part of the American dream, and Mercer County would like to help families achieve that dream through Mercer County First-Time Homebuyer Program workshops. The second of two workshops scheduled in 2019 will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Free Public Library, 1 Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. Way, Hamilton. Workshop participants can learn how the mortgage process works, and participating lenders will be on hand to guide applicants and provide answers. First-time homebuyers may be eligible to obtain down-payment and closing-cost assistance through the program.

Damien Chazelle's Homecoming: An Evening in Support of The Petey Greene Program

Academy Award-winning film director and Princeton native, Damien Chazelle, will be interviewed by Executive Director of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Roger Durling, as the Petey Greene Program's (PGP) debut public fundraising event. 

Damien Chazelle is renowned for his work as a screenwriter and director of the films: Whiplash (2014), La La Land (2016) and First Man (2018).

The Petey Greene Program deploys rigorously trained university students who provide free, in-person tutoring to incarcerated students. We bring together two insular communities—prisons and universities—for mutual benefit.
