Outwater’s Militia Encampment, Washington Crossing State Park NJ

Outwater’s Militia (A reenactment group, portraying a Revolutionary War militia unit) will be encamped next to the Visitor Center Museum at Washington Crossing State Park, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 3rd. Come and see the men of Outwater’s Militia join together and drill in preparation for action against his majesty’s troops. Stroll through the encampment when the men are not drilling and learn about the life and times of the Revolutionary War.

The event will occur between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. A vehicle Park entrance fee applies. A lecture will be held at 1:30 in the Visitor Center Museum’s Auditorium - “Making the Museum: The Story of the Museum of the American Revolution” by Mathew Skic, Associate Curator of the Museum of the American Revolution. The Visitor Center Museum will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. featuring The Swan Historical Foundation’s Collection of 500+ Colonial and Revolutionary War artifacts.

The Mercer County Jazz Festival returns Saturday, August 3 with a headlining performance from Jeff Bradshaw. Jeff Bradshaw is a Philadelphia based soul-jazz and hip-hop innovator who joined the Park Commission at the Jazz Festival in the 2018 concert series and returns for a headlining performance this summer. Coming up and out of the Philadelphia Soul Movement, he has worked along some of the music industry greats including Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Patti LaBelle and more. Bradshaw powers his performance with music that cannot be duplicated.

Opening support for Jeff Bradshaw will be Destinee Maree, an R&B Soul/Pop singer, Algebra Blessett and Frank McComb.
