West Windsor Arts Center Urban Sketching at MarketFair with Artist, Anne Kullaf

Ever wanted to try urban sketching? Similar to Plein Air, this workshop will show you how to capture busy scenes quickly using a very simple kit comprised of a water brush, pen and sketchpad. We'll start with a demo, and then you'll be free to choose your subject and try your hand at sketching in the MarketFair Mall. You'll learn about getting the perspective, proportion and gesture just right in a relaxed workshop setting that is suitable for all levels. For one night only, two of Lambertville's favorite artisan culinary brands are teaming up for a delicious pizza and ice cream fundraising event on Thursday, July 25 from 5 to 9 p.m. Liberty Hall Pizza is partnering with its neighbor, Owowcow Creamery, for a night of Roman-style pizza and artisan ice cream to raise funds for the community's Ely Park, which is undergoing a significant renovation. Proceeds from the ice cream sales will benefit the Friends of Ely Park, the nonprofit that has been instrumental in revitalizing the city's largest public park.

Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton Outreach Chair, Gene Allen will present "The Night Sky and Our Place in It" illustrated lecture followed by a stargazing event in Morven's backyard. Participants are invited to attend the 7:00 p.m. Twilight Tour prior to the lecture to learn about Morven's residents who would have also gazed at the skies in earlier times. This is a shine only event!
