Thursday May 9, 2019
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

On Thursday, May 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm the Friends of the Lawrence Library will be hosting an open house at The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System. The open house will begin with a program by the Honorable Nelson Johnson, J.S.C. (Ret.) author of Boardwalk Empire. In the early 1980s, Judge Nelson Johnson represented the Atlantic City Planning Board during approval of many of the casino properties. That experience motivated him to write Boardwalk Empire which inspired the hit HBO series. Join us as he discusses all three of his books and his time on the bench in New Jersey. Signed copies of his book Boardwalk Empire will be raffled off. Light refreshments will follow.

The Friends of the Lawrence Library fund a variety of children's and adult programs at the library. These programs are financed by money raised through their book sales and annual membership dues. If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the Library and supporting their efforts, membership forms are available at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville. For more information about the library's programs call 609-883-8292, e-mail lawprogs@mcl.org or visit www.mcl.org.
