Trinity Church Princeton welcomes everyone to its 27th annual St. Nick Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., 33 Mercer St.

Trinity parishioners have decorated fresh-cut, American and English boxwood topiaries and Maine balsam wreaths; they have baked gingerbread houses, allowing families to add more candy, making the finished houses their family tradition. A "Cookie Walk" presents a long assortment of home-made cookies. Artisans will offer silver jewelry, handbags, hand-knit children's sweaters, hats and mittens, felted wool scarves, colonial mirrors, bath products, formal stationery and more.

New this year: schedule to have a portrait done of your pet or your car. Consider gift terrariums filled with plants, moss and toy children -- to charm your children. Tell the kids to bring their shopping lists as Trinity elves will guide them to their purchases while parents wait outside.Gift wrap is free in the Ladies parlor. Children can meet St. Nick, and everyone can pose for selfies with him. To learn more about the St. Nick Bazaar, call 609-924-2277 or visit trinityprinceton.org.

Saturday December 8, 2018
12:00 PM

Everyone’s favorite classic holiday tale gets the fractured fairy-tale treatment. All the famous fairy-tale characters take on all of the memorable roles of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. You’ll never know who will show up next as the Big Bad Wolf (as Ebenezer Scrooge) meets his old business partner Jacob Midas (Marley), who could turn anything to gold. Midas warns Big Bad that he’ll be visited by The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future (played by a Fairy Godmother, Old King Cole, and the Queen of Hearts respectively). The ghosts make Scrooge realize what a scoundrel he’s been to the Charming (or Crachit) family — including Prince Philip, Cinderella and their kids, Hansel, Gretel, and Tabitha, their Little Match Girl — and help him to remember what the Christmas spirit is all about. This fun-filled adaptation stays true to the warmth and heart of the classic.
