Come on out to this family friendly event with a wide variety of complimentary food and fun activities for the kids!

Join in on the fun and experience the trail through the picturesque Mercer Meadows on the Lawrence Hopewell Trail. We are offering something for everyone ~ 10K & 5K for the avid runners & walkers and the 1-Mile Fun Run welcomes walkers, families and little ones!

This race event and all food & fun activities occur at Rosedale Park. The 10K and 5K races take place on a combination of paved paths, grass meadow and hiking trails through beautiful woodlands. The Fun Run takes place on grass and pavement. Our inaugural race last year had over 500 participants, including many local Let Me Run teams from Mercer County. This year, we're pleased to welcome Let Me Run back for the second year, along with the Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County. Proceeds benefit Princeton Child Development Institute (PCDI) programs for children and adults with autism. Your support helps make the accomplishments of individuals with autism possible. Document Shredding Event, Mercer County Improvement Authority

The Mercer County Improvement Authority will host a document shredding event for County residents on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parking Lot 4 at 651 South Broad St., across from the County Administration Building in Trenton.

This event will be held rain or shine. While no registration is necessary, please note that the event is open to Mercer County residents only, and attendees will need to show proof of residency, such as a driver's license.

The Historical Society of Princeton is pleased to present its 17th annual House Tour from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018. This signature fall event celebrates significant architecture and design in the homes of HSP’s supportive community. This year’s Tour features six unique homes, each one a distinct example of its own time and style. Visitors will marvel in the modifications, redesigns, furnishings, and personal art collections during a self-guided tour of the homes throughout the day.

On the day of the event, all tickets must be purchased at Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road, before venturing to any of the houses on the Tour. Join Belle as she takes on the world - and the Beast! The Yardley Players present the beloved Disney musical "Beauty and the Beast" at Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC’s) Kelsey Theatre.

With show-stopping musical numbers and a colorful cast of characters, "Beauty and the Beast" is the story of Belle, a bright young woman trapped in a small, provincial town. When her father, Maurice, gets lost in the woods, Belle goes after him. Arriving at a secluded castle, she discovers that a beast has imprisoned Maurice, and she bravely trades her freedom for her father's. Gradually, Belle comes to realize that the Beast is trapped, just like she is. Will Belle’s sympathy turn to love? And, is that love strong enough to save them both?

On Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 2:30 pm, the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System will be screening the fantasy film Cat People. This 1942 film, is about a woman that is haunted with the idea that she is a cat woman and will turn into a dangerous animal when she makes love to a man or is jealous. The Prydonians of Princeton, a local science fiction social group, will host the program.

The Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center present the annual Day of the Dead celebration!

Celebrate Mexico’s El Día de los Muertos with strolling mariachis, sugar skull decorating, face painting, and folk arts and crafts, and food. Learn about the traditions of this rich cultural holiday at this free, family-friendly afternoon event. Day of the Dead is observed throughout the world at this time of year (in connection with Halloween and All Souls’ Day), where family and friends gather to remember and honor those who have died. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds and favorite foods of the deceased, and then visiting graves with these as gifts.

Dress in your best costume inspired by José Guadalupe Posada’s iconic La Calavera Catrina and participate in a Catrin/Catrina pageant!

Isles Second Annual Fall Fest Fundraiser

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, Isles will hold its second annual Fall Fest fundraiser at the Social Profit Center at Mill One. This event celebrates the new regional Center, Isles’ unique work and key partners, and local talent - entertainment, art, food and drinks. At last year’s sellout event, guests sampled items from fifteen local restaurants and enjoyed a variety of musicians and local artists scattered throughout the unique and engaging historic Mill One. This year, guests will taste more of the same, and Isles will also honor two important friends and leaders - Stuart Essig and Mitch Livingston.

Upper School Fall Play at Stuart Country Day School

The Upper School at Stuart Country Day School presents the annual fall play, Antigone in Munich: The Sophie Scholl Story, on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3 at 7 PM in the Stuart Little Theater. Sophie Scholl was a member of the White Rose Society in Nazi Germany which encouraged passive resistance against the totalitarian government. The play chronicles her coming of age and development from bystander to witness to activist.

Sophie Scholl is played by both Julia Friedman '19 and Misha Meyer '21. The play is directed by Christina Kosyla.
