Family Barn Dance for All Ages

Adath Israel Congregation is pleased to present The Eleventh Annual Sacks-Wilner Holocaust Education Program on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. This year's program entitled "The Survivor and the Liberator will feature Holocaust survivor, Ernie Gross, and WWII Veteran and Dachau liberator, Don Greenbaum. They will share their stories. Don and Ernie first crossed paths on April 29th, 1945 in the Dachau concentration camp in Germany. Ernie was a 16-year-old teenager in line to be gassed by the Nazis. Don was a 20-year-old corporal in the U.S. army who came to liberate the camp. The Sacks- Wilner Holocaust Education Program was established by a bequest from Dr. Arthur and Esther Sacks-Wilner who had been members of the Adath Israel Congregation. Both Dr. and Mrs. Sacks-Wilner had a life-long commitment to Judaism and the welfare of the greater Mercer County Jewish community.
