Join us on May 6th, 2017, for a family friendly cultural charity event, Ootsav, to benefit the Mary Jacobs Library at OHES Cafeteria from 4:00PM to 6:30PM and everyone is invited!! A ticket allows entrance to the event, cultural entertainment, shopping with local vendors, participating in a silent auction and a light snack.  The event is being organized by the Montgomery South Asian Community Foundation.

Watch the Derby on a Jumbo screen, enjoy Southern fare, wine/beer and Junior League Juleps! Have fun playing games, select fantastic items from the tricky tray auction, and view the fanciful hats on the ladies in the Hat Contest, all while supporting our community programs that improve the lives of women and children in the Greater Princeton area.

Piano Concert with Clipper Erickson

Nationally renowned piano soloist and recording artist, Clipper Erickson will perform a concert featuring the piano works of prolific African-American composer, Nathaniel Dett (1882-1943).  Dett's unique contribution to American music fuses European characteristics and traditional Negro music. This spiritual and moving style is not to be missed!  
 
Employing a "colorful and powerful" technique, Erickson has performed throughout America and internationally.  He teaches at Westminster Conservatory in Princeton, Temple University, and Rutgers University, Camden campus. 
 
The concert is Saturday, May 6, 5 PM, at the Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church, 124 Witherspoon Street in Princeton. This concert is free and is part of the Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church's Community Arts Outreach Program. Donations are welcomed and will help fund future arts programs.
