"Grief Through the Holidays" Virtual Gathering

Tuesday December 1, 2020
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

After a loved one dies, the holidays can be a difficult time of year for those who are grieving. The spirit of the season can often be overwhelming and stressful especially this year with the added complexity of the pandemic. Recognizing this complicated grief, Hunterdon Hospice invites the community to a special virtual gathering: "Grief Through the Holidays" on Tuesday, December 1st, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

The Hunterdon Hospice Bereavement team, Laura Suozzo LCSW, Janet McCulloch LCSW, and JoAnn Cohen LCSW, will be joined by Hunterdon Hospice Chaplain, Christopher Small. They will address the challenges, pain, and guilt associated with loss, and offer creative strategies to help navigate through the holiday season. The evening will begin with an interactive candle lighting ritual. Participants are encouraged to have a special candle in their home to light in memory of their loved ones. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns. If you are missing someone special, still feel that empty space in your life and need some support to survive the holidays, please "join us" on December 1st.

Access will be available via Google Meet video or phone. Please contact kkelleher@hhsnj.org or 908-788-2573 to receive the meeting code.
