Meeting, 55-Plus Club of Princeton

Noah A. Goldman, MD, the medical director of cancer programs at Penn Medicine Princeton Health will speak on "The Status of Dx and Rx of Cancer and the new Cancer Center".

55-Plus Club of Princeton meets twice a month on Thursdays at 10 a.m., in person at 435 Nassau St, Princeton, AND online via ZOOM at its website at princeton55plus.org by clicking on "Upcoming Meetings" and then the word "HERE" for the scheduled meeting. Meetings are open to all and free of charge with a $5 donation suggested which can be made via the website or in person. 55-Plus is a non-profit non-sectarian volunteer organization that presents speakers on topics on history, politics, science, humanities and the arts.

Kick Off Event, Rocky Brook Cohousing

Rocky Brook Cohousing, a new community initiative, is set to launch with its first public meeting on May 15th, 2025. This innovative housing concept aims to create a new community-oriented neighborhood in Hightstown, New Jersey. Rocky Brook Cohousing will be a custom-built neighborhood co-designed by its residents with a focus on fostering community. The project draws inspiration from successful cohousing models across North America and Europe, which have shown to enhance quality of life and promote sustainable living.

The May 15th kick-off event provides an opportunity for interested individuals and families to learn more about the cohousing concept and the specific plans for Rocky Brook Cohousing. The presentation will begin at 6:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown. Charles Durrett, who coined the term “cohousing,” brought the idea to America, and has designed over 50 cohousing developments, will be leading the presentation.

For more than seven decades, Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks made America laugh—either through their remarkable solo careers or their legendary partnership. Whether together or apart, they were giants of American comedy who conquered every field they entered, whether television, movies, Broadway, or records. This presentation will examine their extraordinary achievements, beginning with their work together on Sid Caesar's Your Show of Shows and their creation of the 2000 Year Old Man, to their individual accomplishments as writers, directors, and performers.
