Foundations Course (3 of 4) Braising, Shelley's Table

Braising is a form of "wet" cooking. Braised food is simmered, covered, with a moderate amount of liquid which later is usually reduced to become a sauce. This class can be taken separately or as part of the foundations course. This class is held at Shelley's Table in Lambertville, NJ from 10-1:30pm.

Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune Orchards

Join us for cheer in the winery to enjoy live music and meet up with family and friends. With indoor seating in our wine barn among the wine tanks and outdoor seating with firepits. Enjoy hot mulled wine, tasting flights of Terhune favorite wines, and wine by the glass. All ages can have fun with s’mores and hot cocoa kits. Light bites of cheese plates and chips & salsa baskets are available at the winery. Perfect to enjoy with a glass of wine in the sun.

Black Girl Magic, Kelsey Theatre

The Underground Performing Arts Collective comes all the way from Virginia to bring us this powerful show. Combining poetry, monologues, and conventional drama with film, this is the tale of Sister, a young Black woman, struggling to find a place of acceptance in the world. Guided by the Ancestors, African Warrior Queens, Sister comes to a place of self-reconciliation and acceptance as she is given a glimpse into the lives and legacy of Black women, past and present. $22/$20

Concert, Westminster Community Orchestra

The Westminster Community Orchestra conducted by Dr. Ruth Ochs presents "Miniatures," featuring the Guitars of Westminster, Mark Johnstone, director, and Westminster Conservatory students Cherie Xu, Alison Varra, Julianna Wong, and Tanvi Patil. The program includes a world premiere by Kathleen Scheide, plus selections by Weber, Purcell, Piazzolla, Grieg, Gluck, and Sibelius. Suggested admission of $10 cash/person accepted at the door.
