Lina is an independent, reserved lady who prefers napping in a cozy cubby over racing to her suite door to seek attention. Sit with her a while, though, and she will accept an outstretched hand and gentle pets. She might even respond by rolling on her back and rubbing her face on your hand. Lina will let you know when she wants your affection and when she would rather calmly observe you from her nest, exuding chill.
Lina was not always so open to socializing. Since arriving from a public shelter, she has made great progress but can still get overstimulated with too much activity and handling. She would do best with a patient adopter who will read her body language and understand her boundaries. Although she prefers to keep to herself, she would be fine with other easygoing cats as long as they give her space.
