7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Come join us for a very special event celebrating the night sky! Adults will enjoy a stimulating program with Dr. David Ackerman, physicist and Dark Skies advocate, about the wonder of the night sky and inspiring efforts to reduce light pollution in our own local area. During that time, children will join Watershed Educator Elizabeth Hinckley to learn about the cosmos and how they are connected to nocturnal creatures through fun games and activities. Then everyone will come together for a night hike and guided star gazing. Celestial snacks will be served!
In the event of poor stargazing weather, the night hike will still be offered for a special chance to experience our Reserve at night.
Pre-registration is required. This program is intended for adults and children ages 6 and up but it is not a drop off event- children must be accompanied by an adult.
