Opening Reception for "Healing Through Art", Straube Center

"Healing Through Art" is a 5 artist show featuring the works of Chandini Pinilla, Bruce Berlin, Luna Sconty, Ilene Dube, and Alice Sims-Gunzenhauser. The show is centered around themes of expression, identity, and recovery through art. There will be an opening reception on August 30th from 5PM-7PM in the i-108 conference room at 108 West Franklin Avenue Pennington NJ 08534. Light refreshments will be provided. The works will remain up until September. We hope to see you there- come support our local artists!

Celebration Honoring Black Yankees, Negro League Baseball

Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM) is proud to announce its 2nd annual partnership with the Somerset Patriots for a fundraising event honoring the legacy of the New York Black Yankees and the Negro Leagues. This event will occur at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday, August 30th, featuring a special game between the Somerset Patriots (NYY) and the Reading Fightin' Phils (PHI).

The Somerset Patriots will pay tribute to the Negro Leagues by donning special uniforms commemorating the New York Black Yankees and will feature the SSAAM logo. These unique player-worn jerseys will be available for live auction, with all proceeds supporting SSAAM's mission of preserving African American history and culture.
