You're invited to a watch party of the 2020 documentary Sisters with Transistors, celebrating the music, work, and lives of the visionary women who pioneered electronic music. Laurie Spiegel, groundbreaking composer and computer programmer who worked at Bell Labs in the 1970s, is scheduled to appear for a virtual discussion following the screening.
This program will be hybrid, offered both in-person and online. Doors open for in-person event in the Stockton Education Center at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. For virtual attendees, a Zoom webinar link will be shared via email prior to the event. The museum will be open from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. where you may meet the curators of the exhibition Ma Bell: The Mother of Invention in New Jersey, Elizabeth Allan and Jesse Gordon, inside the galleries.
