Land of the Pines - New Jersey State Museum

Story, exhibit tour and craft for ages 5 and younger accompanied by adults. Free. Register.

Held the third weekend of each month, on Friday at 2:00 pm, and Saturday at 10:00 am & 12:00 pm in the Discovery Den. For children 6 months to 5 years old with their caregivers. Each month the Small Explorers series explores a different theme through stories, crafts, and play. Each program is 45 minutes long and begins promptly. "Process: Art + Science," Fall Art Exhibition at Stuart's Considine Gallery Opening

Exhibit runs October 18 - November 25, 2019 Stuart Country Day School, 1200 Stuart Road Princeton, NJ 08540 

The fall gallery exhibition in Stuart's Considine Gallery will include art from the John George Collection of Rube Goldberg and photography by Deborah Land, Jessi Oliano, and Andrew Wilkinson. The show takes inspiration from the 500th anniversary of Leonardo DaVinci's death and the idea that interdisciplinary projects can create visionary alternatives and open new doors for understanding. The public is invited to view the art show on display in Stuart's Considine Gallery, from October 18 through November 25, 2019. The gallery is open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, when school is in session. The public is invited to the Opening Reception on Friday, October 18, from 5:30 - 7:30 PM and a gallery talk with the artists on Tuesday, October 22, from 1:00-2:00 PM. Star Observation Session, New Jersey State Museum’s Planetarium

Visit the Planetarium Friday evening for a special nighttime star talk in the Planetarium, then hop in your car and follow us a short drive to the Washington Crossing Park Simpson Observatory (weather permitting). The Amateur Astronomy Association of Princeton will be on hand with telescopes to observe the night sky and help visitors with their use. If viewing conditions are poor, immediately following the sky talk guests will see a free Planetarium show. Recommended for ages 7+.
