Isles's YouthBuild Graduation at Morven Museum & Garden in Princeton

Please join us at Morven Museum & Garden at 55 Stockton Street at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 for a tour of the grounds led by the Horticulture and Environment student interns followed by the graduation ceremony of this year's class of Isles of Trenton YouthBuild student interns from the annual Morven Museum & Garden Internship.

Each summer, Morven Museum & Garden welcomes a group of YouthBuild student interns from Isles of Trenton to work and learn about the environment and horticulture. The student interns learn different aspects of horticulture while getting a friendly introduction to real life work in the industry by doing projects on the grounds at the National Historic Landmark, as well as other locations such as Drumthwacket, Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed, Mercer County Community College, and Grounds for Sculpture.

Celebrate summer and the special exhibition Frank Stella Unbound at our annual picnic on the lawn. Enjoy barbecue fare, live music, exhibition tours, and family-friendly activities. Stay until sunset for the last of our summer film screenings, The Lion King. Cosponsored by the Princeton YMCA.

Summer Film Series: The Lion King @Princeton University Museum

This year’s summer series presents films inspired by the transformation of literary sources in unexpected ways, as seen in the exhibition Frank Stella Unbound: Literature and Printmaking. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet, this classic Disney animation transposes the story of the melancholy Danish prince to a tale of a royal lion cub tricked by a treacherous uncle. Starring Matthew Broderick and Jeremy Irons.

All films begin at sundown. In the event of rain, films will be shown at 8 p.m. in 101 McCormick Hall. The Lion King (1994) 88 minutes, rated G, directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff
