The Australian philosopher and Princeton bioethics professor discusses the new edition of his book "Ethics in the Real World" as part of the annual Kenneth and Audrey Gould lecture.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and pastries. Peter Singer has been called one of the world’s most influential - and controversial - philosophers. He helped launch the animal rights and effective altruism movements and contributed to the development of bioethics. In "Ethics in the Real World: 90 Essays on Things That Matter," Singer shows that he is also a master at dissecting important current events in a few hundred words. An updated and expanded edition of the book, originally published in 2016, was released this year.
