Come to the Hopewell Train Station for some assorted stories and songs with our storytime reader, Sara! This week, we will have a special pirate storytime to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day!

"Never Enough: When Achievement Pressure Becomes Toxic – and What We Can Do About It", Princeton Public Library

At this virtual event on Zoom, Jennifer Wallace will discuss her book "Never Enough," which investigates the deep roots of toxic achievement culture, with clinical psychologist Melissa Greenberg as part of the Mayors Wellness Campaign. The conversation will examine how can we teach our kids to strive toward excellence without crushing them and offer parents advice and tools to help raise healthy achievers.

Screening, "In the Heights", Princeton Garden Theatre

A community screening of the 2021 musical "In the Heights" is held to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Free tickets, courtesy of the library, available at the Princeton Garden Theatre.

This musical drama is based on the stage musical of the same name by Quiara Alegría Hudes and Lin-Manuel Miranda. It follows a similar plot to the musical, telling the story of a corner in the predominantly Dominican Washington Heights neighborhood of Upper Manhattan in New York City, where every member of the community pursues their sueñitos (little dreams) for a better life. Free tickets may be reserved in advance.
