Set during the Algerian War of Independence, the novel is based on the true story of a young man named Fernand Iveton and a young politician named François Mitterrand. The program will be facilitated by Jennifer Sessions, an Associate Professor of History and Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Virginia, and co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library.
