Roosevelt's Tree Army: The History of the Civilian Conservation Corps, Mercer County Library
The CCC was a New Deal program that existed from 1933 to 1942. Roosevelt's Tree Army planted three-billion trees in addition to creating fire roads and fire towers. They constructed visitor services in National and State parks that are still in use today. Presented by Mary Rasa, a historian, who worked as a museum curator and park ranger for the National Park Service for 16 years. Register to hopeprogs@mcl.org for link to program.
