Young Patriots Day, Battlefield Society

On Sunday, Sept. 18, the Princeton Battlefield Society invites you and your family to a day of learning and fun at our 2022 Young Patriots Day. Young Patriots Day introduces children and families to the American Revolution and to local history. The event will take place at Princeton Battlefield State Park, and will begin 11:45 AM with a flag raising ceremony and will end at 3:30 PM. The event will feature cannon, musket, and drill demonstrations by the New Jersey Greys reenactors. General George Washington and Ben Franklin to talk about the Revolution and colonial life. Visitors can tour the Princeton Battlefield and the Clarke House and can also join in activities just for kids. All young patriots who are registered in advance will receive a souvenir to remember the day. See www.pbs1777.org for details and registration. Princeton History Walking Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

Location Princeton Battle Monument, 1 Monument Drive, Princeton

Enjoy a walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Nassau Hall, University Chapel and Palmer Square. Hear some of the classic history and lesser-known stories of Princeton’s diverse past.

Tickets are $10. Advance purchase is required. Tour starts in the courtyard of the Princeton Battle Monument (GPS address: 1 Monument Drive). Please note: Space on this tour is limited to 20 participants. The number of available tickets will be listed under “Spaces” below. If there is not a box visible, then there is only one ticket remaining.

The Trent House Association presents a talk by the director of Historic Fallsington, Inc. on the responses of the village's Quaker community to the American Revolution. This free program will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Trent House Museum Visitor Center and via Zoom at https://tinyurl.com/Sept18Talk.
